Oblong fringed scarf in a gorgeous deep emerald batik.
Cotton and rayon.
This scarf was made by an artisan in the Maisha Collective, an entrepreneurship training program for young refugee women in Nairobi, Kenya that grows confidence and teaches self-sufficiency. At the core of refuSHE’s model is the creation of a social network that empowers girls and young women to strive for economic self-sufficiency and become community leaders in their own right.
This generous scarf doubles as a shawl. It is amazingly soft and feels like high end cashmere.
